Cop trying to crack the Justin Bieber egg-tossing case found drugs at the singer's Southern California mansion — but the pop star was able to scramble his way out of trouble.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said the drugs — initially thought to be cocaine — belonged to one of Bieber's friends living at the home.
Rapper Lil Za, who was arrested on drugs charges during an early morning raid at Justin Bieber's home, was released from Lost Hills Station on $70,000 bail.
Xavier (Lil Za) Smith, 20, who was whisked out of the party palace in handcuffs on Tuesday, was charged with felony drug possession.
As Smith waited for someone to shell out his $20,000 bail, he picked up an additional felony vandalism charge after damaging a phone in lock-up, Lt. Michael Williams told the Daily News.
His bail was then jacked up another $50,000, Williams said.
Earlier in teh day, Lil Za was taken away in handcuffs by authorities.
Bieber was among the seven or eight people at the house during the egg-related search early Tuesday.
"The cocaine, I believe, was in plain view of the deputies when they were looking for the other evidence," Lt. David Thompson told reporters.
Cops served a search warrant at Justin Bieber's southern California mansion Tuesday morning.
"(Bieber) was not connected to that cocaine other than the gentleman was staying at his residence," Thompson said.
